Calming Radiance: For an AP, Ariel may intensify her light, soothing those around her. For free, she may provide a pale natural light for the group, centered around her lure. For one AP, she may provide a +2 bonus to attempts by herself or others to calm, pacify, or otherwise soothe targets around her. Additionally, she may spend an AP to force a -1 to all upcoming rolls by enemy targets for two turns, providing the enemies can see her lure clearly. Ariel may not use any Stealth based actions while using her Power. The lure may grow back over the course of several days if it is damaged or cut off.


Something's Fishy: Ariel is very, very good at investigating, interviewing, and generally digging deep down into the juicy parts of the world- or at least, she was. Now that her appearance is most kindly described as 'scaly', her attempts to gain information sometimes backfire.
Dried Up: When it comes down to it, she's mostly fish inside now. She can breathe outside of water, but the air is thin and dizzying to her, and if she stays out of water too long, she will become very ill.
Predator: Ariel excels at stealth and ambushes now, after a year and a half of hunting and eating fish. However, sometimes, when the blood is in the water, she can't quite stop herself from taking a nibble or two, no matter who the prey is.

Personal History

Ariel started life as a child in Florida, and grew up wanting to become an investigator. She survived high school, went to college, got licensed as a private detective, and then came her first encounter with the occult. She survived that too, and eventually branched into specializing in magical cases, until the end of the world. Then she woke up in the watery ruins of her house, her body morphing and shifting into a new form, incompatible with the surface world.
