Experience Penn

Player Name

Ragazzo

Name

Experience Penn

Concept

Cursed Colonial Hunter (and Dad)

Power

Father Of The Wild: Once known to all manner of beasts as a nemesis, Experience is now considered a protector by his former prey . Animals, mundane, and otherwise, are at ease around Penn, and will often offer him assistance. He can expend a fate point to receive +4 to a survival roll where animals are present or involved.

Aspects

Almost A Dumb Beast: Experience is not terribly clever by the standards one would ascribe to a modern day man. By the same token, Experience has many of the physical qualities, and deficiencies one would expect a colonial settler to have.
Hobbled Huntsman: Experience's curse punishes him for inflicting harm on any animal, by receiving the same wounds. His bloodlust has been redirected, if not dulled. He still retains the skills, and sharp senses of an old word hunter however.
New World, Old Wilderness: A lingering effect of the curse that was laid on Experience is that he is now highly attuned with nature. To his mild displeasure, this has left him with some…animal tendencies…and sympathies. Very out of touch with modern day everything.

Personal History

A silently looming, nearly illiterate, burly young man, clad in stitched together furs, with bits of antler used as crude buttons. Possibly in his early thirties, or a very haggard 20 somethings. He's not saying. His face has been bronzed by the sun too the point where telling his race is impossible. When asked his name, or well, anything, he invariably ends up going on a bitter tirade about 'Heathen forest dwelling wytches!' and 'Vile, carnal, earth magicks meant to bedevil honest, god-fearing men!' followed by a brief, half-mumbled bit of scripture from the Old Testament. After all that, he will introduce himself as Experience Penn.

In the days when America was first being settled, before he was struck by the dread witch's magicks, Experience loved, no, lusted for the thrill of hunting, in a way that was not at all healthy. Often enough, he would stalk an animal he'd wounded for days, letting his prey think they had lost him, only to inflict onto the poor beast in question a glancing, but painful wound. This went on for days, occasionally. One day, he stepped into a forest of a witch. His cruelty was well-known by then across several colonies. According to Experience, no sooner had he stepped past the first line of trees, before the witch swooped down onto him, and cursed him to walk the earth, and to suffer the pain of all the animals he hurts. What happened to the witch, he refuses to say.
