Name

Scott Evans

Concept

Vancouver Police Department SWAT/TEMS Officer

Power

Above And Beyond The Call Of Duty: At the cost of one AP, and at the GM's discretion, Scott can add a +3 to any roll when he is directly acting to preserve the life or safety of someone in need of assistance.

Aspects

Goddamnit, Not This Shit Again: Following the Event, Scott's met the business end of a lot of bullshit that's come to run rampant across the western part of the United States, and through the course of his duties afterward, has developed a total intolerance of the abnormalities in his new world.
To Serve And Protect: Scott truly believes in the work he does, and has spent his life and career in the guidance of an unerring moral compass, one that obviates corruption and a lackadaisical attitude in the pursuit of his work. He does not get along with those who act immorally toward their fellow man.
Kill 'Em All: Scott cannot and does not abide the truly hostile that has set out among his former home, and that now ravages the Red Zones that dot the map. Animals that aren't normal, he kills. People that aren't people anymore… well, a lot of things can be black and white.

Personal History

Scott was born in a suburb of Vancouver in the December of 1983 to a family with a tradition of service in law enforcement. A grandfather who served as an MP in the Army in Korea and through Vietnam who went on to become a respected member of the Washington State Police, a father who was an FBI agent and later the deputy chief of police for the Vancouver PD, a mother who worked for the DEA, and an uncle who served as a homicide detective until he retired all influenced his life growing up, and taught him that dedication to the ideal of protecting the ones who live and work around you is the highest calling one can have. He was given everything he needed to succeed, spurred on by the expectations of great things in his own right by close family, and prepared to continue the family tradition of service with a degree in Criminal Justice studies earned at Washington State University. After completion of his training at the local academy, he easily found employment as a beat cop on the Vancouver PD. Family connections and an unerring performance of his duties saw him entry to the forces Special Weapons And Tactics team in 2011, four years after becoming an officer. His career following the appointment was just as stellar as his meteoric rise, which was interrupted by the cataclysmic Event that shook the natural order of all things. The casualties that quickly mounted in the weeks immediately following never shook his nerve or desire to do what he had always worked toward doing: to serve and protect those who could not. In the aftermath, he found that offering his skills to the local forces and populace still extant offered two clear methods of doing so: protecting those still alive from the things that preyed on them, and keeping the ones who'd fallen alive.

Miscellaneous

Scott is a fairly big guy, standing at 5'10 feet even and weighing 180 pounds when not bedecked by the tools of his trade. A close-cut buzz cut rounds out his square features. Usually wears a serious expression.
