Inter-dimensional Exile


Unbound Defender: By expending a fate point Selim can shift instantaneously to shield anyone in his line of sight who is being attacked. Selim receives +3 to his next defense roll when doing so.


Zealous Penitent: To absolve himself of his shame, and prove his character to those around him, Selim takes his promises extremely seriously, and will pursue them to completion fervently. Doesn't shirk obligations or renege on his word, especially if that promise is to defend, or protect another. Will go to great lengths to prevent those he has made an oath to from being injured.
Exile Vilify: A minor but permanent magic has been worked on Selim. Any that see him will know instinctively that he is condemned to exile, as well as branded a traitor for failing to prevent the murder of a royal he was tasked to protect. Even if they won't know where he is exiled from, what nation he is a traitor too, anything about the royal in question. This can turn some people against Selim before he even speaks a word.
Splintered Shield: Selim possesses minor magic of his own, as most his people do, but it is innate, and requires some form of sealing to focus, and render useful. With the death of his charge, his focus was dissolved forcibly. Though he can harness some of it still, without another to bind himself to as a focus it more often then not fails. Selim's magic is defensive in nature, and wards only against physical harm.

Personal History

Selim, formerly a guardian of a royal from a realm somewhere between the Ways, found himself exiled, and homeless after his charge was murdered, and he was found 'resting' in his bed. For whatever reason, his charge hadn't summoned him when they had been threatened. Regardless of this, blame was placed on Selim, and he was exiled to Earth. It was thought appropriate he be consigned to such a devastated world. He ended up in Russia initially, shortly after the Event.
