Lance Cole

Player Name

Lance Cole

Temporally Addled Anesthesiologist

Lance's Lives: At the beginning of each day, or on waking up from a nap/rest/coma/whatever Doctor Cole will roll 1d6, the result corresponding to one of the Doctor's six most persistent mindsets. Number One, A centurion of Ancient Rome. Two, a french monster hunter, who stalked throughout the country during the Reign Of Terror, slaying those fiends and demons who were thriving off of, and encouraging the bloodshed of the time. Speaks only french. Third, a magnanimous, steel-minded, sneaky Imperial magistrate working for the South Chinese Paranormal office. The fourth is just good old regular Doctor Cole. Five, Ripper, And Six, Detective, respectively are very unique personalities. All fate points can be expended by Cole to push himself back into his true mindset. Additionally, a GM can compel 'An Eye For Time' to force the doctor into any of his mindsets. UPDATE: The Monster hunter has been cut free from Dr. Cole's mind. The scale has been shifted to 1d5, with each persona moved down a number. 3 is now 2, 4 is now 3, 5 is 1.

Things Were?? Are Right Wrong Once Now!: Lance has many iron-clad memories of how things were. And how things are. And how they should be. Lance believes overwhelmingly in these convictions, despite that they change often.
It doesn't have to hurt at ALL: Lance has become much much less stringent in how he applies his sedatives to patients. He's an expert at alleviating suffering, on top of that. On the negative side of things, Dr. Cole himself has built up a bit of an unhealthy tolerance for sedatives because of past indiscretions.
An Eye For Time Lance perceives the world through different filters of consciousnesses as various lives struggle in his mind for dominance. Occasionally, this will grant him a useful new perspective on a problem, but much more often than not, it leaves him massively bewildered, and disoriented. (Example: He'll go from perceiving the world with the everyday knowledge of a modern man, to that of a Colonial Era English Settler)
Put down that scalpel: Dr. Cole has a severe, occasionally violent stigma against fellow practitioners who experiment on their patients. He has several histories with one such mann.
Cat's Eye: Lance has a new left eye, the form and function of a house cat's eye with a golden iris. This eye has human level acuity, limited color vision, but excellent night vision. It can also see some supernatural manifestations. ((This aspect provides Lance with a passive +1 to visual perception checks at night and against visibly detectable supernatural phenomena.))

Personal History

Ever since a mission involving SCP-276, the Time Schooner, Lance has lived at least two different lives for the Foundation. When The Event happened, those lives collapsed together, the experiences of one, or perhaps more different instances of the doctor crammed themselves into the mind of the original. He's no longer sure which of the lives he remembers is the one he actually experienced, not to mention the fact that they blend together occasionally.

After spending a brief few days with the Convoy, Time tugged Lance back into it's chaos. He has been very busy since then, fighting for his life as a gladiator. The doctor was made to pick up some new skills, very quickly. He's not talking, but the surgical scars that run rampant across his body hint at whatever befell him in his most recent foray into history.

Lance, prior to vanishing into time.
He's kinda like this now. On the inside.
