Mother Tau

Player Name

Character Name

Technopath, heretic, savior

Refinement of the Soul: This is a Sorcery effect. Tau can mentally move or alter the properties of 'man-worked metal'; or anything made of a metal that has been altered from its basic elemental form. While a lump of iron dug straight from the Earth would be unresponsive, tools or art made from that same lump would, for example.

Sincerity: Tau's mental focus is unmatched when she concentrates, a skill she has refined from a very, very young age. Her mind is a steel trap, biting at those who enter unbidden and keeping all information like a library.
Hack the Gibson: Tau's primary job at the Foundation was mostly electronic warfare and suppression of AI SCPs, a talent she retains.
Bonne Nuit, Selvhi: Tau is fiercely protective of most of her friends, but none quite inspire her to action like Artemis and Adhelami, who she views as true family.
Metaphysical Jazz, Man: Tau may force a (0, 0, +, +) roll on a single Magic: (Metallurgy) check, by drawing from the piece of profound mathematical knowledge taken from the curious artifact, Pazuzu.

Personal History

Tau's life introduction into the Church of the Broken God came in blood and fear, a trait that has mirrored itself in most changing aspects of her life. She spent most of her early life in the care of a Alps located monastery, attempting to one day become a member of the Church's guards and killers, the Adjutants. However, due to her stronger than expected mind, the final test, intended to mentally Bond her with with her life partner, backfired; Tau was sent back home shortly after murdering her perspective bond mate in the psychic backlash of the horrific event.

Tau's mother, mad with a zealot's grief, cut out her eye and replaced it with a piece of the Broken God, intending to prove to the Church that her daughter was holy after all. Tau's body did not reject the eye, and her mother, vindicated, died 10 years later of heart failure. Tau spent most of life thereafter in a dead end job at a bookstore while attempting to acquire her bachelor's in Computer Science. She was contacted by a man at the age of 21, and offered a job at the Foundation's Kitchen Sink - 0-23 - as a member of the espionage department, and as a willing double agent. Seeing little better options, she agreed, and worked there for a month before the world ended.
